ok so the last annoying noise has been fixed and then today this bad boy started! It only does it in the rain, only sometimes does it, usually when engine under load... Kind of sounds like exhaust knocking but I would have thought it would do that all the time?

The only other thing I can think of is if it is one of the heat shields under the car vibrating when the water from the road comes up maybe? ERGH no idea! Thoughts?

wow, I get this exact same noise aswell, and it only happens during moderate to heavy rain too... its been there ever since my header install, so i figured the exhaust might be closer pushed up closer to the body by the header. I can actaully feel the knocking at the footrest and floor when it happens. Never really bothered me and why it only happens in the rain i have no idea... it seems to happen around 2k to 3k rpm :S

Just a thought here, on my AE111, when I had the HKS Headers, Hi-Flow CAT and FGK Powergetter...

The car once I park it after driving through the rain, there will be this 'tinging' sound which I would assume be the metals contracting since its cooling down. Is it possible that the EP3R with the less sound deadening [assumption] and while running could make thing ting into a banging sound? After all exhaust pulse and exhaust gas rushing through would change the sound remarkably.

its literally like deep rapid knocking sound on a wooden table, haven't had it for awhile tho, hasn't rained hard here for awhile

The only other thought is water being kicked up hitting the system and produces the sound like that? Considering the SUS304 generally used is quite thin too? Which would account for the sound and frequency but dunno how it would work hahaha

hey guys, i just bought another ep3r, i noticed that my new one gets alot of wheel hop from 1st to 2nd,
It's running on ad08s, do you guys think it might be the engine mounts because they're stock?
My old ep3r didn't get wheel hop on 595evos running on hardrace engine mounts
