Accord Euro with 19x8..what tyres profile?

    hi,

I got a friend who is going to fit 19x8 (front and rear) LDR rims on his Euro
What tyres profile is best for the front and rear? 225/35/19 or 235/35/19?

225/35/19 are pretty hard to find, and I can get pretty good deal on 235/35/19 (nankang, pirelli and continental) but I'm not sure if 235 is ok

He is probably gonna lower but not much, maybe about 1.5 - 2inch

    need a quick reply

    Thanks

225 is not that wide. The stock 17x7 already come with 225, so you can go 235. Just make sure the offset of his 19x8s is suitable.

its +42 front and rear...so should be no problem right?

42+ on an 19 x 8 inch rim may be a squeeze on the rear. I would lower the car first before you try on the rims (and before you buy them).

Ideally 19 x 7.5 for the euro (imo)

If I'm not wrong, the stock 17x7 has +55 offset. Can anyone confirm this? If this is true, then going from 17x7 +55 to 19x8 +42 means strut clearance will be the same, while the outside will extend by 26mm. Diameter-wise, with tyres, it'll be increased by 16mm. Just check that after lowering that the tyres will clear the guards when turning.

Give your friend this link. It can help him calculate the clearance and diameters. http://marksink.com/tire_wheel_offset/

    i'm running 235/35/19 on my euro and i've dropped it 3 & a half inches. with a 19 x 8 rims with a 42+ offset.

No problems at the front or the rear (thanks to all the neg camber at the back) if you get a camber kit i think you will have to roll the rear guards tomake it clear. But, if your not slamming it, you will be fine!

Ohh and the speedo is perfect aswell!

235/35 / 19 is good size on euro, wider better contact with blk top. Only problem that might run into is when lowered the guard might rub, need rolling.

if ur rollin guard make sure u take it to someone with the proper guard roller and not using a hammer, piant may crack.
