Car stalling in 4th and 5th gear and check engine light is on! HELP

    Hey guys and girls!

My car is a 1999 em1 with a b16 in it. No mods to car besides short ram intake.

My car was running fine this morning until I started driving before my car started jerking in 4th gear then my check engine light had turned on...
I pulled over and checked my oil levels was a bit low so I topped it up. Engine light disappeared for bit then car started to jerk while driving at a constant speed the. The light turned on again. So pulled over let the car sit there for a while an started to drive again. Engine light had turned on again and noticed the acceleration was really sluggish and slow.

And when I got home trying to reverse in drive way it constantly stalls...

Checked my plugs and they were fine

And I recently added a strut brace as well... But that won't effect any problems...

    Any help will be appreciated!

I'm still new to Honda engines so please be kind ! Ahhaha

    Thanks in advance!

    Does the car start now?
Does it idle ? And stay on if you bring the revs up ? Or does it stall only when in gear?
    snapping 2nd..

Sounds to me like a cracked bottom end. Due to lack of servicing.

But i wouldnt know better. Get a mechanic to check it out. Wouldn't drive it just in case.

pull the error code from the ecu....then fix the faulty part.
there could be any number of issues causing this but thats what the CEL is there for

the CEL is like a spamless ozhonda that lives in ur dash

Car stars but idle is jumpy doesn't stay in one spot, car revs pretty high at 1.3-5 only stalls in gear

See what the ecu says, if no code try the simple things first.

When were your filters last, fuel filter, oil filter

Try the easier, cheaper things first
    My style

fuel filters im not sure of cause ive only had the car for about 3 month but when i purchased the car it was all fine and had gone a major service before purchase.
i know the oil filter was changed cause i did the service about 2000kms ago.

the car now turns over on the second go and it idles low and high and sometimes drops down and seems like the car stalls but comes back on.
