also managed to buy the JDM K24 from the absolute ...complete with ecu, 4wd gbox and complete 4wd conversion ...
trying to find a cheap freight company to deliver it .
I hope you know what are doing mate, I am no expert, but there are differences that I do know off. The transmission tunnel for the RB2 Absolute is wider than our model to accomodate the larger exhaust piping and the 4wd gear. Also the exhaust system on the RB2 has a different layout. Not sure how you are going to fit all that in, I suggest ditching the 4wd system.
Other things to note:
Absolute Air box and the intake pipes are larger on the Absolute, you will need that.
Absolute Exhaust system is larger (headers and cat back), you might want to get that as well.
The ECU loom is different to handle the difference between drive by wire and drive by cable
not too worried by wiring loom as i can do all these (swap them around or make a DIY harness)
as for the intake, exhaust everything will be custom made - still trying to maintain a legal look but a better feel.
with regards to the 4WD system, i am still under research on what other gbox may fit/can be adapted to this engine. I.e. CRV, Accord Euro R etc.
if all doesnt work out - i might ditch the absolute motor and might just use a accord euro k24 (leaving it fwd) swap incl. wiring loom - so i can utilize a hondata. and change to a 50deg VTC or do a frank swap to K20/24.
lucky i havent made any payments as yet, still doing alot of research and i believe some ODC owners from malaysia/sgp has done the absolute conversions...
taking it nice and slow.
but for now im trying to still source out the best wheel offset fitment for a F = 18x8 ET?? | R = 18x9 ET?? (i want a nice dish staggered look but no stupid aggressive R cambers) LOL.
good luck as above statement doesn't add up onto Honda
yeh i figured.. just depends on how wide i choose to go with ... i should be able to fix the camber abit with the cusco adj rear camber kit that i havent installed yet..
already starting to get bored of the odc, might trade it in for a range rover evouge sports or an audi Q7 ...i feel like 4wdriving :P
