    Give u guys another example,

Went to inspect one in the woop woop (it was basically bush area lol)

Advertised the car's body and interior being immaculate, Upon inspection there's rips in carpet holes where the badge should've been. Clutch was on its way. Engine light would randomly turn on. Looked like the last time it was washed, was in the rain lol, and yet owners are asking 20k. Saddest part is nearly all the owners were duck heads and very ignorant, even thou I was professional and never stepped over the line in any of the conversation. Even the sales guy at the auction house weren't sales worthy.

Sorry to hijack your post OP. Just i thought i would guys know from my experience form a 3 month hunt.
This sucks. Here I am ready to negotiate on 23,000 when from the looks of it is alot cleaner than most on the market. Here is the problem, the target market for these cars are young. And some tend not to see past their first drive..

So when you say your negotiable, how negotiable are you? According to an earlier post you knocked back a $20k offer?

No worries amant02. What you've written is correct. To find a clean one you'll need to spend around 23+

I'd only sell if I had an ap2 in my hands which I don't! Been offered 26 by someone on here and I've told him that I wouldn't sell to anyone but him if I decide to go down that track.

Relax Mate, I just took a stab in the dark. Just an option for him if he see's what he likes, ill be there tmr ready with the cash.

I know I wont be finding a clean s2k for 20k, the only one that I did like was sold within a day and within budget.

That's why I'm in the market for the cleanest dc2r atm.

dc2r and s2k markets are fairly similar - hard to find reasonably priced, well taken care of examples - gotta pay to play

Well mines on the market at the moment and i know is not priced well for the km it has but the amount of s2k i test drove before i bought mine from s2000 priced from 16k to 28k i can say price is not a good indicator of the condition or quality of the car. there were those s2000 which are snapped up by first buyer when i was 2nd in line to view them and they were all very reasonablely priced.

The s2k market has been very interesting over the last few years, it definitely looks like a simple what you pay is what you get so buyers are willing to fork out a little extra for a clean example.

Now sorry to bring this thread off topic, but are there any s2k drivers out there who may be potentially interested in upgrading to a 135i (black, manual, twin turbo)? I'm thinking about re-joining the Honda scene and have always wanted an s2k (didn't think it was worth posting a new thread just to see if there was any interest out there)..
