Nope..You arn't gonna perform on par with Evo/Rex/Silvia/Skylines. Do look for a NSX though which should give you enough power on the streets to be used as a daily. Maybe a forced inducted DC5 might pass as a streetable car.

    Post of the year contender...

    2L NA v 2L Turbo... Even a Golf GTi can keep up with a DC5R 0-100...

LOL this thread made my day. The only performance different on the street is the turbo can hit 60km/h faster than a dc5

I drive a DC5 type r as a daily, its a fine car, mine has particularly stiff suspension, which combined with the terrible roads in the area means bumpy rides most of the time.. the turn circle is pretty shitty as well and the car does feel slightly bigger than it is, but other than that, its comfortable and has more then enough power for you to zip in and out of traffic, and is pretty good on petrol as well.

    Buy's D16Y1 for VTEC. Sh!ts self.

Seriously though, K20A's are an excellent engine for daily driving. Plenty of torque, nice six-speed tranny. Modern car, comfortable enough, and safe enough for when you wrap it dragging a turbo'd opponent.
