It's to get a particular sound. A lot of work goes into making the exhaust sound the way it does. But performance-wise yes it is basically no different from any other 2.5" mandrel bent pipe.

I love the mugen exhaust but in my older age I would rather spend the cash on an xforce with more money for suspension up grades. Then again I am running an original c west lip kit so I can't talk

Ive done my suspension upgrades for now :P
Was impatient and decided to just install it on my driveway.. took me a little longer but was worth it haha. Need some gaskets but.
