    Integra A/C problem

Hey guys, I just picked up a 94' GSi for cheap.. Everything is in good order except the A/C is fuuarked.. Really need it working in this summer heat.. Had a local Auto Elec check it out today and this was the quote with the parts.. Seems fairly Exxy to me?

Can anyone recommend any other auto elecs that have good experience with Tegs?

    Cheers.

yeah no... are you a capable person that can use tools? because the evaporator, and receiver sell on ozHonda for like 50 bucks.. so really if you get them to drain the A/C you fix the problems then have them re-gas it should be 200 or under
Mate my bbk cost more than your Honda.

So the current system needs to drained before removing the old Evaporator and drier? Yeah I can have a crack at this myself. Do I just need to remove the glove box to get to the evaporator ?

Degas or regas? Is it just the seals that plug to the evaporator?

Thanks a lot for the replies dudes.

its not a dash out job at all.
from memory its 4 screws to open the evaporator box,the max i think this job whole would take is 2-2.5 hours depending how fast the A/C unit is.

Does the glove box need to come out? Or is it all accessible from under the dash?

You think that's bad? Honda Australia want 1300 bucks for a new ITR compressor.

    Stuff that.

You know, I'm pretty sure I said "Honda Australia" in my post

BTW, I buy most of my parts from the UK/US for both my cars - it's cheaper because no Aussie Honda/BMW-tax
