Okay, So these alpine ones are 110W RMS @ 4ohms.

My headunit only does 50W RMS, so I need an amp. Do I need an amp that does 110W RMS, or an amp that just does around 50W RMS, ontop of my headunit? If that makes sense.

Gosh I forgotten all my physics...

My 2 rear speakers have their own dedicated amp (bass works system from factory).

the amp is powering the speakers, so the head unit power output is irrelephant.

It is generally better to overpower the speakers (i.e. let the amp be lazy). less heat.

I'm trying to avoid the use of an Amp, taking account of your post...

A component speaker with tweeters, says a nominal input of 60W. Headunit does 50W. that should be fine ? It's within a few Watts.

You won't be getting the most out of them, that's all.

Another thing is that some brands advertise 50w rms but don't actually put that out

    Cheers, makes sense.

I realised that the audio people accidentally switched my LED footwell switch with the VSA off switch, when they installed my headunit...

Is there a way of switching it back myself? Without having to go back to the audio shop?

    thanks.
