    CL9 2004 Euro - Strange Issue

Hi all, I have a 2004 Accord Euro luxury and is experiencing some problems. I went away for 3 weeks and returned to find the car's battery dead. After the NRMA guy recharged the battery, the car is able to start.

However, when the car starts, its left and right signal lights turn on automatically in alternating fashions. So the left signal light will blink, then the right dignal light one secod later, then the left again, etc. There is also an unlabelled red light (next to the physical VSA button) that keeps flashing. Any idea the reason for all off this?

    Thanks in advance!

red led next to the VSA isn't standard, it sounds like a after market security system which wasn't removed completely or is not functioning correctly. I would take the car to a auto electrician to remove it!

yep definately an aftermarket alarm system that is playing up. Explains the battery drain and blinkers.
Do you have any sort of manual over-ride key on your key chain? if so, using that might stop it for a while.

Thanks for the reply guys. Very annoying as I don't have the manual for the after market alarm so is lost about what to do.

Is it worth taking it to the auto-electricians as they charge a lot. Are there any standard process I can go through to restart the security system?
