S2000 Factory Rust Protection? Tar on undercarriage

Hey guys, does anyone actually know what factory option rust protection on these cars actually consists of?

My S2000 has 65kms and alot of the underside is covered with what looks to be tar. The back end of the car where the spare wheel carrier would be is black.

Just wandering if this is the factory option protection or after market.
Is anyone else's like this?

My one isn't black I think.
But it looks tar....ish.

I havent seen one with black black under.
