If your car is on a dead level surface most jacks should get underneath it. Otherwise what I used to do was just drive the car onto two little planks of wood then jack it up/down from there. Easier than triple handling with two scissor jacks.
Yes very true... But we didn't have planks of wood at the time and it seemed like a good idea :P
