ED Civic 1991 D15B4 coolant temp vacuum sensor help

    Hi,
I have just replaced the head gasket on our 1991 D15B4 Civic. Problem I have is the coolant temp sensor that 4 small vacuum hoses connect to on the left side of the intake looking from the front of the car is broken.
The rest of the story is the old one broke as I removed the vacuum hoses to take the head off so last week I found another sensor off an ED in the ACT which cost me a fair amount for a used one. Went to screw it into the manifold yesterday and managed to break one of the hose tails off the replacement sensor Crap!
Have looked at the Honda parts website in the US but cannot find the sensor anywhere to buy new. The top of the sensor is green colored plastic with 4 tails the vac hoses connect to. My D15B4 runs twin CV carbs so thinking the sensor is unique to AUS civics?
Anyone know what this sensor is I am talking about and if new ones are available? Thanks Dave Tas.

    Hi,
Pic of the sensor shown on left side of intake manifold with broken green plastic and brass pin sticking out of it.

Also pic of the green plastic head broken off with the 4 vac hoses still attached. Shown with black electrical tape wrapped around it.

Thanks for the reply. Dave Tas

Sorry to bump an old thread but I've seen the same part fitted to ke70, ae71 corollas and adm ae86s.
Check out a wrecking yard, bet it will work

Have you tried replacing one from Honda Australia's spare parts?

Thanks for the replies guys. Ok seems I am after a 4 port (VPS) vacuum ported switch.
Local Honda dealer looked up ED 1500cc dual carb OEM part for me last year, has been discontinued.

Dove, I have a factory stock 1983 KE70 here, 1300cc CS-X model Corolla. Friend left it to me in his will. Will have a look tomorrow, the ED still flying along just idles a bit rough.
    Thanks Dave.

Ok here is the Honda OEM number for the VPS or TVS 17350-PM4Q02.

No luck yet cross referencing to aftermarket such as TOMCO in the US.

Another lead to UK is item No4 on this link which seems to for a '93 EG which may help me at the wreckers if the EG used the same switch.
