    16's or 18's on a dc2r

    hey guys,

i currently have 18" rims on my car but i tossing up whether to get 16's or just stick with the 18's. Is there any real gain from having the 16's on and if anyone has a type r with 16's on can they post up the pic. Im just worried that if i change the rims its gonna look sheit.

    thanks

I reckon 90% of DC2Rs I see on the road have their stock wheels or a set of stockies of another colour. I've only seen one DC2R with aftermarket dish which looks okay but I'd still prefer the stockies.

I would love to see some 16" Enkeis, Volks, Work rims on them though!

yeh i was thinking either the work cr's or the enkei 5 spokes (the thin ones, i dont know what theyre called) But at the moment i have 7 spoke 18" shadow chrome wheels n now. looks hot i think, just is way to expensive to buy tyres.

Have any of you guys got 16's on your teg. if so post up, post up..

The lightest rims are the best rims. (strength being a constant factor).

Get some quality forged 16's, the difference will astound you

What about JDM dc5 or dc5 rims?

Look alright for stock rims, and they wouldn't be "that" heavy.

Wrong. Forged 15's are best for performance on a DC2R. Stock AUDM rims (though considered light) still weigh approx 5.8kg, forged 15's can get down to under 4kg (ie. CP-035). Let me tell you 0.5kg /wheel difference is already very noticeable on our 'low torque' motors.
