Hey peeps,

Just thought I would introduce myself seeing a mate of mine suggested to get on here if I was ever in the need of QUALITY advice to upgrade my Graphite 2012 Accord Euro.

I'll put up some pics in due time. No mods YET. Which comes to my first question. Does anyone know if I void my new car warranty (somehow) if I start modding my car with items like King Springs/coilovers etc?

your warranty will not be void, but your claim will be denied if they can prove that your mods have caused the claim.

i.e. if you put lowering springs on and your shocks blow, they will not warrant their shocks

if your engine blows and you have an intake on, they will deny your claim

but if you have only lowering springs and your engine blows (under normal driving conditions), they have to replace the engine

Certainly does make sense Curtis, thanks for the info. Where's the best part of site for me to search for info relevant to selecting the right type of springs/coilovers for a Euro? Need to understand offsets of rims etc too as I intend on putting on either 19's or 20's.

I love the stock Euro alloys,hate it when I see Euros with after market mag wheels on them as I feel it cheapens them...

Mine's the 8th gen with only 17" rims. I don't know how I managed to miss off the 18" rims (which I admit looked hot) when I signed off on the new car. The 17" factory rims are pretty average to look at.

The standard Euros come with the 17 inch alloys,the Luxury models come with the 18 inch alloys.

Ahhh makes sense. Now you can see why I have the urge to change/upgrade the 17" rims.

I couldn't justify paying the exorbitant amount (something like an extra $3-4K) just to get Sat-Nav etc.

My question to you now is this; which should get done first? Lowered suspension or new rims?

does an 18" rim really matter? That just means you get a less comfy ride and tyres cost more...

IMO lower it first, it looks awkward when you get aftermarket wheels at standard height

You have a valid point Curtis; now that you specify "less comfy ride", it takes me back to my VT SS that I had way back that i dumped with the Pedders Sports Ryder...................I could feel every pothole.

Might have to reconsider then I think.

you can still very easily get some very compliant suspension - just gotta ask around on people's opinions and maybe ride in people's cars.

It might be worth make yourself known to the PHC guys. A few accords there
