Hey chrischris and honda_FD, can you give me some info about how a throttle controller helps FD2? Mine has a lag as I rev, not sure if this is the same as yours though.

Is installing it hard? LOL Cheers

Basically a throttle controller tells the ECU you're pressing the accelerator harder or softer than you are.

E.g. you could be pushing it down 20%, but it will tell the ecu you're pushing it down 50% etc.

Installation is relatively easy as well.

Yeah, What lolmclol said. I dont have one. Have heard good feedback from people that has them installed in their cars (IOU & NedKerry)
Might invest in one in the near future.

Oh, thanks. So does it get rid of the lag? So my accelerator pedal is more sensitive? I just want to get rid of the lag and keep everything the same. Is that possible?

LOL its cheap. Only $150 max

You will never get 'Rid' of the throttle lag. You can improve response but it will always be there.
Do you have a SRI? Alot of the shitty SRI makes it lag even more. My K&N Typhoon kit made it worse lol.

As another ozmember said :"The car feels more lively and dollar for dollar this is a must have device.".
Thats all i want to say about my 3 drive pivot throttle controller as well. 5 mins to install and then have fun. Specially with Honda_FD it is more worthy when he already has the exhaust system ;-) hahaha
MONEY - no problem. The problem is NO MONEY

Just re-iterating what everyone has already said, you technically will never remove the lag, but you'll improve the response. But for your everyday driving, you'll notice a significant difference in the way the car feels.
Yes, it essentially remaps the throttle and you can adjust to make it more or less sensitive. It's a 5 minute job to install.
Don't bother with a CAI or SRI if your aim is to improve response - I did the ghetto CAI and despite the engine running slightly cooler, it lags a little more. I have to fit the resonator back on.

The exhaust and lightweight pulley kit are the last "performance" mods I'm doing so I'm hoping that will yield some good results for acceleration and response.
