I've been using Synthetic for over 2 weeks now and up till now, it's been running a OK. Gear change has been Drastically improved, and the overall rev is smoother. But I kinda realised that it's been using more Petrol than it's suppose to. For example, usually I pour Full tank of PULP and will last for over 380k's Easy. But now I can't even reach 320k. Do you think it's got something to do with my Oil??? Or is it time to change my Spark Plug and/or Fuel Filter??? Need Advise!!!

480ks around town if I drive nice(ish), probably push past 500 if I drive like a granny. That's with the fuel light on for a while, but I've yet to run out of fuel. I usually get about 550-600ks on the highway, and even then the fuel light has only been on for a little while.

So does that mean even if I did install a AEM CAI, it'll do jackshit in terms of Performance? Not even a single horsepower gain???

i get about 250kms half tank....around town on my crappy oldhonda civic Si - only becasue it can breathe No clogged air/fuel filters and always with fresh plugs etc etc.
Also I have the stock airbox + a hi-flow air filter.

Nope...On a D16Y1, I regularly got over 500km per full tank, and that includes mad Vtec thrashing around. It was a completely stock engine with 200,000km on the clock.

Hey Ben, How often do you change your Fuel Filter AND Plugs? Cos I think I have to start go "econ" on my Car, Fuel's just too damn expensive nowadays!!!

Well why don't you put the car back to the same oil and see if the fuel consumption is any better. Synthic oils are meant to reduce friction and increase milage. I don't think this would cause you to use more fuel. Unless you are ripping every time you take off.
I know if i keep my engaged in Vtec all the time it certainly drinks fuel. On the hwy i got 600km on a tank, generally get about 450 - 500km per tank in my ek4
