    Do i have an MY04 or MY05?

Stupid question i know, i really havent looked at the paper work.

Thing is, i picked up my car on the 31st of December 2004. So i dont know if i have a 05 spec'd euro or an 04 one. Any where i can look? Thing is though, i have a full 16' tyre as a spare and not the space saver..

Once again, stupid question i know

id say it be 04 spec, seing as the 05 came with 17" rims, and cars are usually manufactured a few months before they get here, easiest way to tell is look under ur bonnet at the id tags.

Thats what im thinking, but i was reading the stickied threads on the top and they said on the Lux they Euro got 17', but the STD still has 16" and one of the main differences was the Space saver wheel and the new 'Milan red'

    05 spec'd Euro Luxury's got the 17"

    the standard kept the 16"

My guess is that you got an 05 Spec but 04 build

It is simple really - the buttons on the steering wheel light up on the 05 model when you turn on the headlights. That is my understanding.

So whether or not you have the lux - you can spot the difference by turning your headlights on.

The full size spare tyre does not necessarily mean it is the 05 model as some dealers fit this anyway (mostly at the request of the purchaser).

    exactly.

The wheels are not a definitive indication of 04 v 05.

Actually, the 05's are built in 04, that's how they can start selling 05 as soon as 2005 comes about. The car's don't get built in 1 day and shipped here by plane unfortunately.

In the US they start selling 05 cars in October 2004. Americans, taking our stock... otherwise I could have been driving around with a full sized spare and lit steering wheel controls too.

it may be classed as an 05 spec to honda when they sell it but when its time to trade it'll most certainly be an 04 model...even to honda..
car dealers will always say when you are purchasing that you need to look at the compliance plate not the build but that is absolute rubbish... if you are able to buy 05 build and compliance then buy it unless they are offering a ripper of a deal on the 04 build 05 compliance.
