Just looking through the service books of my 2012 Euro Lux and I notice that at the next scheduled service, (40,000kms) it mentions to check the valve clearances. (if required.)
I find this a rather vague statement!
Can any one advise if this is one of those " now that the engine is considered to be broken in, check the valve clearances to be on the sure side" things, or is there a known issue with the valve clearances on the 2.4 L VVTI engine?
Or is it up to the discretion of the "trained service technician", to decide based on they can hear when the engine is idling?
My car has only done 29,000 kms, but has been serviced on a time basis, rather than kilometers traveled basis, hence the service schedules being some 10,000 kms ahead of the odometer reading.
