How to flush out old cooland and any silicate deposits from radiator, pump etc...

IMO if you are truly worried

Drop the old fluid (green)
Get a new aftermarket radiator , install.
Fresh green premixed coolant (or honda type 2 blue/green stuff)
Burp the air out of the system and there you go.

Thanks for the info Bennjamin. If it comes to it I'll have to get a new radiator. I have a feeling it's new cause the previous owner had done a recent flush of the system and installed a new thermostat.
