    Martin,
    Thanks for the follow up.
I ended up taking it to Pirtek and having a new pipe made on the spot. It took about 30 minutes and the guy was friendly and did a good job. I have installed it and have driven 20 or so kilometers; it has had no issues so far. The Pirtek technician will even call me to follow up! Very good service and thanks for mentioning their names. The cost of the part worked out to be less than a third of the OEM from Honda, and it supports a local (national) business!

On a different note, if other users are considering purchasing an item from the USA, please note that the power steering is on the right hand side of the vehicle for all Accords. For Australian cars, for instance, the hose is shorter (the steering rack and pump are on the same side) whilst for, say, a US model (most parts of the world) the hose is longer to go across the car and reach the steering rack. Basically, the bottom metallic pipe for Australian models is much shorter.

Honda needs to be ashamed of itself for looting the Australians and I hope Honda pays the price for unprofessional and unethical practices.

    Thank you all.
