    just wanted to add, there is no point having vtec x-over this early.
    In fact, oil pressure is probably not high enough for a SAFE transition.

    The only reason to ever do this is when tuning, and even then its usually around 4k

    u cant jst engage it earlier and have more power dude
    if ur engine is stock, leave it as is

    exactly what i was about to say.

    the ONLY 'safe' point to allow VTEC to engage is where you have sufficent oil pressure i.e >~60psi

    if you engine makes >60PSI at 1500rpm, it is 'safe' to engage it there...

    my old B20VTEC was set to engage at 4300rpm...
