    $2500 Turbo for Prelude S

I'm asking this for a friend

We basically got quoted $2500 for a custom turbo kit INSTALLED + PARTS

Included will be turbo, manifold, blow off valve, intercooler, injectors, etc... ALL RUN ON A SAFC HACK

the thing is, the setup will ONLY be run for 6-8psi

unfortunately, its impossible due to $$$ to actually get a proper ECU at this stage

So the question is... how reliable is a SAFC hack on a F22A sub 10 compression motor running 6-8psi boost?

can anyone suggest a better alternative/kit/trader for $2500? this is not a fishing expedition, so please give serious answers, we're going to get it done DEFINITELY in less than 14 days time...

And due to the $2500 limit for budget, its currently probably not possible to get a better ecu than VAFC such as hondata, etc etc...

please dont go "POTENTiAL" or "MORE BOOST lATER"... please read THIS KIT WILL NEVER GO ABOVE 6-8PSI

most descent kits are $4500 +
    not including install.

The problem with the hack is the fact it that does not retard the timing on the car and the way in which it adds fuel is not the best either. People have problems at half throttle, full throttle, idle and engines running lots of timing...

That is not to say that there are not people who are using it without any problems though, i researched it, spent hours learning about it and certainly would not use it

I suggest you read this thread here.

For the price that it costs to set it up, you would be better off using that money towards something like a Microtech etc.
    Euro...?

Gary, dont bother with the hack man.

If u have an odb1 ecu sitting around doing nothing, just socket that and run one of those freewares, its free! I got the burner tools if u need it

i thought ceramic turbine t28 only came off r33 skylines?? anyway i wouldnt bother with ceramic turbines, they'll break even if it is reconditioned.
2500 is a good price if its a backyard job.
