    offset for ek

    hi guys... lookin to buy sum wheels for my 98 ek civic hatch.. juz wanna make sure i know wot offsets i should be lookin at.. i am lookin at gettin sum 17x7's. so wot offset should they be?

    I have 18x7.5 on my civic with a 38 offset, got no problems with them
    Euro...?

    hey man i got 18x7.5 n an offset of 45 n no rubin or nothin but got defected in adel cos the cop was a ****er, i thought i had 17s cos thats what i askd for!!

    Anywhere from about 38 to 45 should be ok, but it depends on the size. 17x7 I'd stick with about 40 or higher.

    but im all stock these days...

    +42 or more, nuthin lower coz if you dump it pretty low it may scrub

    can some one explain offset because i have never been able to work out how its measured or what is does?
