    removing tint

    just picked up my new car and the previous owner did a diy on the tint. how can i remove it safley. the sides i should be ok with, but the rear is the worst, and i dont want the demister to come off with it. steam? water? sledge hammer?

    anyone had experience taking this shiat off?

    Theres a couple of ways to remove it, I used a heat gun and a product called Orange Solve that removes the glue. You can purchase the OS from any chemical store. Or you can take it to a tinting shop and get them to remove it for you...it'll cost you around $100.

    removing tint is time consuming... but another was to do it is using a steam gun, holding it on the tint until u can sum it peeling and peel away =)

    removing tint is $100, retinting is $200, i say take it to the tint shop and get new tints. and dont even try to take them off urself its a PAIN IN THE A**.
