    DC5 Headlamp question

    yes i've searched!

question is this, i've got a pair of headlamps of my Dc5 that got polished with the rest of the car. the repairer didn't do a good job. i don't want to go into detail how that happened.

MY headlamps are a little fuzzed. i mean, when you put your hand it should be smooth like the rest of the body, but my headlamps are kinda rough, its like touching really fine sandpaper. Anyone got any ideas to restore them or should i just chuck them out and buy new ones?

    Hey mate

Buy some plastic/perspex polisher and try that. I use them on my car every 2 weeks to polish up the headlights, rear lights etc.

i've read some stuff online about the plastic polishers
i m just not sure whether it removes sandpaper feeling of the headlights

Well my headlights have got a few scratches, I would say they are light scratches and when I use the plastic polisher the surface becomes smooth. The lighter scratches would start to hide but it really does help. I'm not sure what else you can try.

Are you really that fussy? lol

I think the wreckers will make you purchase the whole headlight unit instead of just the cover. There is the option of Angel eyes though Hehe
