Thread: Grounding Amp

    Does anyone know where to ground an amp in the boot of an EK civic

    use a multimeter and find any bolt in the boot which will fit your wiring... test it make sure current is flowing through it(ie conect one end of the multimeter/light globe to the possitive terminal on the baterry and the other end to the place you wish to earth the amp). If theres paint in the area its recomended to scrape a bit around the bolt off. I have an EG and mines bolted into the rear seats bolt, I did the same thing on my mates VR, so i prosume you should have a similar bolt on your EK... test it first just to make sure.

    Yeah, just go looking for a bolt in between the rear seat and boot, lift the carpet, there is always one or two good earthing bolts

    Like McChook said, it doesn't really matter just as long as it's a solid ground (ie not just a self tapper into sheet metal).
