    I emptied my CAT

    Hi,

I took off my CAT today to empty it, had hard time to do that because of the design of the CAT, anywy after few hours we done it. Tried to install spark plug anti fouler but found out the hole in the CAT is bigger, so it has to be custom made, so i just installed it back again, and the results in the sound you feel something is strange, and it didn't turn my CEL on, as for power I still can't fell it., maybe later on when I take a long ride.
i will drive it for a while and will custom a pipe later on.

You do realise that driving without a CAT IS ILLEGAL and if you get caught you will get fined a few grand?

$2500 in melbourne to be exact... for a purposely emptied cat (doesnt include blown or leaking cats, only purposely emptied ones)

and btw it doesnt do jack all... lots of car magazines have done dyno comparisons of cat and no cat (so restriction vs NO RESTRICTION AT ALL) and got about 0.3KW at whele diff... if u feel that on ur chair... u have the world's most sensitive ass

Why you call it stupid if you never tried it. Who said there is no CAT, and I have just emptied it. Yes there is diffrence a friend have done it in his M3, and he gained power. I have done it before even at my 1.0L car and felt improvment.
    You can check this http://www.daewootech.com/forum/view...t=3849&start=0
Where Evo took off the CAT and install a pipe, so it has nothing to do about senstive ASS.
BTW where I am we don't get fines for exhaust, so no worry for me. I will test the car today and see if there is diffrence.
