static noise coming from speakers when engine is on

hey guys, i was driving today and the guy in front of me decided to suddenly step on his brakes. so i stepped hard on my brakes and my speakers started sounding funny. all four (and two tweeters) went wierd. its like a static noise. I checked my ground cable, all my power cables. also checked the remote cable. rewired them as well and its still making that noise. Can any one help me? thanks

WEll you either knocked something out and need to have a look again, or your speaker wires/rcas are running too close to some other wires, and you are experiencing 'noise' (its the actual technical term). Try repositioning your wires so they are nowhere near other wires, especially amp power wires.

Or in braking so hard the rcas might have come loose from the back of ur h/u.
...... and that's all I have to say about that.

I'd check the speaker connections, both at the speakers and the amp, maybe 1 of the connections is grounding to metal somewhere and causing the noise.

hey guys, okay... i checked the ground wiring and its fine, even changed the ground position just in case, check my speaker wires but nothings touching metal. I redid my remote wire but the sound is still there. what else can be wrong? i unplugged the front and rear speakers at a time too see if any of them are causing the noise but the static noise is still there. any other ideas?

ohkiez... got a pioneer headunit, sony 3 way fronts, pioneer rears, jay car tweeters. all hooked up to an alpine v12 amp. tweeters have cross overs. i checked the wiring from the deck but it seems fine. i rewired the cables but still have the static noise. When i have time, im gonna take off the tweeters and cross overs and see if thats the problem. worse comes to worse I have to take everything out and start from scratch. Just want to see all my options before the big dismantling process

can you try another deck? pioneer's are known to 'sometimes' blow earth tracks in them...

Are the crossovers placed near any 12 volt source? This is a common problem with WRX's when people put their crossovers under the dash. Could be happening to your Honda.
