you dun need a really good caliper on the rear coz when you brake there is like 85% of the brake power is on the front.....thats why ppl normally change front brake only....correct me if I am wrong.....the monoblock is far more better then the other one......even the size is a bit bigger....I got a friend witha DA9 with Spoon front brake on.......its from DC2 but still bolt on.....so I reckon it will have no problem to fit a VtiR.....the price about bembo is the GT version....not the normal one......the normal is heavy and not as effective....the GT version is super light and expensive......but Spoon is good too......you get what you pay for anyway.......

when upgrading to monoblock, is it necessary to change the break fluide as well?

when ever you doing any mod with ur brake.....I mean to change the caliper you need to drain ur fluid and put new one on.....of coz you can leave ur old stuff in and top it up after...but its not the way ppl doing it....and by changing the fluid you can get the best result from the change......correct me if I am wrong......hope that help...cheers...
