    225/45 tyres on civic?

Is it possible with 16x7 rim? I'm due for some new tyres, and I want to know if anyone has fit 225/45 tyres on their car.

    thanks
    Aleks

definitely too wide. 225 are generally on turbo cars, with bigger brake and guard set up.

225's would be a defect on your ride as more than an inch wider in rubber is a big no-no. Plus the rim is only 7"(175mm wide) so an inch of rubber hanging out each side of your rims is bad.
205/45 would be a good choice for extra grip

I run a 205/45 setup, its even MUCH better than the 215/45 setup I tried.

I'm also running 205/45, the passenger rear rubs on the inside edge of the upper wheel well guard. Strangely it doesn't do it if I don't have a passenger in the car and never does it with any other wheels.
