    Exclamation Need help guy on bumper fittin

    Hi all just want to know if you need re-enforcements bar to fit the bumper?
    my mechanic said it does and the wreckers says no...

    When you say reinforcement do you mean this:

    Or are you referring to the front crossmember? If you mean the crossmember I would have thought that you would need it to have the bumper sit in the correct position although I am not certain.

    in answer to your question - NO you do not need the reinforement bar to fit the rear bumper. It simply sits inside teh rear or front bumper...

    BTW many panel beaters leave out this "reinforcement" when repairing cars ( to get abit more cash in their pocket im sure)...

    You can get a reforcement bar from wreckers for $60-$80
    just get one if u can, in case of an accident you rather it be the bumper then your car.
