The resonator in the stock DC2R front bar

run it from the now empty front guard, like a cheap copy of Mugen,

when you take the resonator out, you'll see a pipe from the airbox to the resonator box. cut the resonator box and keep this pipe and attach it. then you'll have a poor mans mugen box

That's true but couldn't bring myself to do it. Want to return to stock when I sell.

u don't have to remove the rubber bolt it's a dummy

Its very straight forward.

You do not need to remove the front bar just jack your car up, take wheel off and fold back inner guard and all is revealed.

yeah just jack up the car, pull off the wheel, pull back the inner guard, andyou should see the resonator, there are a couple of bolts, just look around and take them off, but think before you start unscrewing.

Vtec crossover is way louder on mine than when i had the resonator in, just make a cold air feed from the bottom of the airbox to somewhere down behind the front bar for a a decent cold air feed.

nothing occurs to the car, it just gets a bit louder.

i think the ride isnt quite as smooth though. probably all in my head though.

Definitely leave it there, it's there to help absorb impact and maintain some extra strength in the front bar.

yeah that foam has nothing to do with the resonator, the resonator sits just in front of the right hand wheel.
