Maybe go with a manifold from Full-Race, Neukin, One-Fab, Love-Fab or what not. These are the proven manifolds from the US. They are all used by the Honda-Tech guys and work well. SS AutoChrome is being used by a mate from the Gold Coast and he's pushing pretty big power for a B16 however its a cheap alternative to the above brands. Probably best to spend the extra dollars first time around on a good manifold that wont cause problems in the long term. Check out www.full-race.com, or www.one-fab.com.
Turbo wise - there is a new one from Precision - the T3/T4R - was told by Alex from Neukin it is a really good and cheaper alternative than going to the GT-based models. They retail for $825US. Other than that, maybe get a GT3037, or another non-GT the T3/6769 - that will it will hold if you get internals & sleeving.
Wastegates - as stated by the rest - Tial would be the best. 38mm's are used by most, and would be a good start for any setup. Dont go Ebay for these - cos some are just copies. Buy from the US-forums.
Everyone has their own opinion on parts and brands but you could just direct yourself from whats worked with most people.
thank you for that information jdm16 the reason i want the same manifold and i have last posted is because the US have proven these manifolds to make power.
as for a turbo where can i have a look for these turbos on the net that you have stated??
the reason im looking to the US is they have more then once proved that you can make good power form a B16.
Um the T3/T4R is relatively new from what I've been told so I havent been able to get a full description. But they are on the Precision site - www.precisionturbo.net.
Or even you could get one locally from GCG. Luke (aka Hondaboy) is running a GT3040 from GCG in Sydney. Some would think it is too big but still his worked fine on a stock block (when he had a stock block). You could even go with a internally wastegated such as a GT28RS etc, but you miss out on the screamer from the dump tube. Another would be a GT40 but overkill by a long shot. As stated before GT3037, or SC61 from Precision are good too.
But one thing everyone would stress is the tune! Make sure to pick a right ECU as thats what produces the best power. Hondata, ProECU, Autronic, MoTeC, Microtech etc etc you've gotta search around and find out whats best for you. But once again everyone's opinions will vary so find out from the majority whats best and go from there.
thanks for the info but im not too sure about what specs to get i roughly know what im looking at but not too sure would this be a good spec.
