I've used vinyl spray before on the arm resty thing in my eg hatch before and it came up really well. I sprayed it black, cause i just wanted an oem look. I'd have second thoughts about doing the whole dash in vinyl spray, as it cops direct sunlight and gets pretty hot, but if you are going to retrim in leather, give it a go and see how you like it. BTW, leather anywhere is expensive, even more so on the dash. So be prepared
