    Idleing your car for long periods is not desirable... It can cause your cylinder bores to glaze up.
    This means that all the tiny cross hatched marks in your bore, that trap oil so your rings stay nice and lubed, will be worn away... not good
    If you plan on keeping your engine running for long periods it pays to give the throttle a quick stab,which eliminates this from happenin, every 5-10 mins

    thats why when i idle my car i tap the accelerator every now and again people on this forum didnt understand that when i mentioned this previously

    thought i was a nut.

    Sorta, the oil drains outta the grooves made from the x hatch marks, causing premature wear i.e. rubbing back the bore so that the grooves are not deep enough to hold the oil.

    u could have turned off the car by stuffing something in the muffler. Thats how we stop out RC cars
