    2006 Type S ?

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum.

I'm thinking about buying a new type s, but the lack of options is putting me off a bit. Would like maybe a two tone interior or options for upgrades in terms of mechanical parts or to change out those wide slippery seats(I'm not that fat). Since we're in 2006 already I'm thinking maybe Honda Australia will release a 2006 model? Anyone have any idea when new year models are released and what the chances are of it being any different to the current 2005 type s?

I tried to search for this type of topic using the search function but couldn't find anything. If anyone knows of a thread with this detail please let me know.

    Thanks

Anyone know if it's possible to buy a brand new JDM Type R (DC5R) and import it into Australia brand new? I now there are laws to stop buying second hand cars from Jap and bringing them back easy, but I figure Brand new shouldn't be too much of a problem.

hullabaloo - the 2006 model will be exactly the same as the 05 model because the type s came with the facelifted integra so options will be the same as before. Honda have never really offered heaps of otpions anyway as they are good cars to start with

shebangs - i believe the only way you could do that would be as a private import so you have to own it for 12 months and proove you had it insured etc and have driven it. this could have changed so if anyone knows then i stand to be corrected on this but i believe this as fairly accurate

Just get aftermarket stuff if the base ain't to your liking (I've changed my audio and headlights), the car is well equipped stock from the old model.

    just buy a DC5R...recaro's, LSD
unless you actually like the new Civic, oh i mean Integra TypeS

you can change the leather seats to Recaro's or other aftermarket seats...
the side airbags can be bypassed...
