    air intake dc2 type r

    Many mixed emotions when it comes to air intake systems for type r can anyone give me the heads up as to which one has the best ratings and the best value for money

    Depends on your budget.

    I still find the stock box and intake arm + CAI is quite good and cheap.

    Just change the filter inside to a KnN or something decent.

    Mugen one has good gains but very $$$$$



    Atm the injen ones with the pod placed inside the bumper or down below seem to be popular.

    got a friend who has comptech and seems fairly impressed with it.

    Sounds the bomb too.

    u pay for wat u get it da end.
    but as for value for money u can't miss aem cai or injen cai.
    as for best rating it would be mugen or gruppe m

    AEM SRI is killer. very impressed, not too $$$ either.
    The noise is by far one of the best things around. Just got my exhaust setup and im actually kinda missing hearing that induction lol
    nice and shiny in the engine bay too.. .

    i hear the injen is good. also have heard the hks racing suction kit and that was loud.

    I used HKS racing suction kit. I am using GruppeM air box kit. Compare with two intake system. I love the GruppeM air box kit. I have a notice gain with using GruppeM air box kit. Pics as below:

    KnN make a replacement pod filter to fit inside the box perfectly.

    The Apexi power intake is a very tight fit.
