B18A1 VS B18C VTiR Spec

im just wondering does any one know how the two compare because i raced a mate in a integra vtir.. and it was real close.. his was stock with air filter and heavy duty clutch.. my LS has CAI.. heavy duty pressure plate clutch kit.. short shift and its chipped.. we were literlly neck and neck..

now i wana find out how the two compare when both are stockers...

wat does he hav in his car weight wise as in subs n so on? n how is his driving? bcoz i doubt even with ur mods u would beat a vti-r. stock they r 125kw and weigh 1145 and ls is 96kw and weighs about the same.

with vti-r integra id say about a low to mid 15 q/mile stock and a ls low 16s.

my integra weighs 1099KG stock.. but that night i ran it without the space saver.. sub and 1 of my 2 amps out and my false floor was out.. his driving is good.. because ive been in the car as he has munched a few others... he was running stock weight no sub nothing.. besides a pair of 6x9 in the back... mind you not boxed.. my teg has CAI its cams were tweaked by hannys.. fuel pressue tweaked by hannys.. chipped..

well, I beat an N/A supra just before I got home tonight...

so maybe he just had a shit run?

The only mod I have is spoon socks on my reservoirs. hah.

if you raced up to 100kms it would have been close but not down the qtr to at least 140

let me see LS vs VTiR yeah I believe that, I raced my mate once he has a 96 VTiR with K&N pod + CAI, VAFC and Cat back exhaust, while my LS has Extractors, Muffler, Apexi pod. I also have a full stereo with no spare compared to his had no system but he had his spare in.

on take off I get him up front, bigger cc's from the B18B I have in mine maybe? but once we both hit 3rd and 4th gear his Vtec kicks and he catches up with me then I drop back about a car length and almost stay like that.

mind you my box if stuffed and I need a new clutch, not only that but I rekon my new motor mout inserts really helped my LS with the fronts staying in contact with the tarmac.

He coulda just had a crap launch. My mate has an LS, and couple times when I have a crap launch (road side distractions) he's neck and neck with me.

well u hav a b18b.. bigger displacement and more power compared to the b18a so id believe ur story more.

i've only ever raced one vti-r altho he had the weight disadvantage of 18" chromes and 2 extra ppl. but mind u i absolutely killed him

hmmm auto or manual? id believe u beat an auto one coz my friends stock exi accord kept up with one till 120 n we had 4 ppl in the car lol
