I just test drove an ITR yesterday for the first time and found the steering to be quite stiff and heavy like a go kart.....is that how it is suppose to be? I use to have a Civic and the steering was so easy.

l'm assuming its a DC5 aswell. I also testdrove it and didn't really like how the steering wheel wus so tuff. I guess its better for road use whern its abit bumpy and uneven surfaces.

    Also less "torque steer" issit?

Yeah I noticed then when test driving some DC2 Vti-R's - I have an EK and the stearing is heaps lighter and the gearbox is not as tight/restrictive. I reckon the stearing and gearbox in DC2's are heaps better IMO

So it is normal for it to feel that heavy?

    yeah its normal.

After driving my mum's Vectra (...shudder), you almost feel that theres no power assisted steering that it almost feels wrong - but its not!

It gives you more control over the direction of the car, although its a bitch when doing slow maneuvors (sp?).
