Thread: Mags fit on EK?

  1. #1
    hey

first of all, there is shit all mags out there in 18 inch that will suit the EK hatch, for a reasonable price.

i found one pair that are mad, but i am not sure if they will fit on my EK.... i got the Integra type R lug 5 stud pattern.

the mags are 18 x 8.5.... is that too wide??? anyone tried before

the place said that they are mainly used for 200 sx etc and doesnt think they will... so im not sure if they will.

    thanks

i will put the 18s only for shows etc... but wont race on them. I have DC2 type R wheels that i will use for racing...

so has anyone put this size wheel on there car before? it is only 1 inch wider then wat most would put on. 18 x 8.5 rather then 18 x 7.5.

what tyres fit on thes wheel size?

    thanks hey

anything 4x100..... 18x7 should be okay, 18x7.5 might be ok, the rim might pop out a little bit and hit the guard depending on how much u lower etc... i think its best to stick with 18x7 just incase

i've got a set of 18x7.5 rims with 215/35 rubber on my em1 2000 vtir coupe and it fits, although you may need to roll the guard to accomodate for the imperfections on the road if your car is lowered (i don't think a larger size would be recommended).

like VTEC16 said, it slows your acceleration considerably. although, on the other hand it has greater traction on the corners and in the wet.

    good luck!

the rear guards can be rolled or lipped but can anything besides flaring the front guards by a panel beater be done?

and wots the offset and rubber size like?

i only want to fit 8" wide wheels

You can fit 18x7.5, 43-46 offset with 215/35 tyres with relatively few dramas. You may need to roll the guards if you dump your car onto its arse. You can roll the front guards but just make sure they are gentle when they do it as they can buckle

how do u roll the front guards
every place that i've been to said they can't do it, they can only do the back guards

Contact Bart's Guards. He did it to several of my friends cars, including an EK and EU.
