    Pod Filter Question

    Hey guys,

Chucking a pod filter on my 90 Accord EXi tomorrow and I was just wondering if anyone has any idea's for connectors? Im using the stock intake pipe so I was hoping something that fits in that.. Ive read up on the idea of using a plain 2 1/4"-3" paint tin, and using a can opener to remove both ends, then just shoving it in the intake pipe until its secure, but went around a few stores today (Hardware store, Dulux Trade Center) and couldnt find this.. Is it worth buying a normal piece of piping and doing it, or are there cheaper connectors made specifically for this from shops in Sydney..

    Cheers

    Guys,

Just a question about removing the stock air filter box..

There is a pipe leading from the air filter box

To another box of some sort shown here

This box is then connected via a lead

    To the fuel injector..

Now if the suction to the box pictured in the second picture is removed (when I take the stock air filter out) is it going to cause any problems to the fuel injector?

    Cheers

Scott1e i have the 4th gen accord like yours too but i fitted an intake setup i bought at autobahn for i think around under 100 dollars. Which includes pod plus metal pipe and fittings.

I pulled out the old stock box but i still left that lil box next to the battery on the left the one u mention that had a pipe that leads into the air filter box. Theres a vacumm hose that ur scared might damage something if you dont connect it back up yeah?
Dont worry, i drove my car around and didnt notice any problems, i think its vacumm line number 8 if my memory serves me right. If you pull it out, just seal that hole that comes out of the fuel injected. Cut a small piece of hose and at one end put a screw into it and then shove it back to seal the hole?

If not just buy a long vacumm line and connect it back up.
