Before my car used to lag up until 3000 now it kicks around 2400-2500 mark.

It will pull from 1500RPM to 3000 fairly quickly... in 5th gear. I very rarly change out of 5th ever since i had it installed.

Thats why i'd go 2 1/4. If you want more top end back get 4-2-1 extractors.
are you sure about this? this is the first time I've heard of losing power at the top end by going up to a larger diameter.
also do you know if its a mandrel bent system or a press bent system? for the price I think it might be press bent.

a general rule is, get the optimal mandrel bent system, or go a quarter inch more but in press bent.
I think the mandrel bends would be better tho as it gives a smoother gas flow.
