    Battery Light always on- da9

    my battery light is now consistantly on, does anybody kno why this would be? my battery is fine and working fine but the light remains to be on

    Thats your alternator. Yes i know sounds dumb but the battery light is almost never for your battery.

    Yep...ALT for sure....But check your fuses first...
    The light just means your battery isn't being recharged...

    if car starts fine as usual its the alt, the brushes inside needs to be replaced, about 70 bucks or so but better to get reco saves you the time and hassle of messing around.

    can any maerchanic do it pretty much? or do i need a specific merchanic to reco it? (i kno a few merchanics)

    Well I had the same problem. It sucks balls. I think reco is the best option. Most mechanics send it away. It was awhile ago but I think it costs around 130 to get recon, but dont quote me on that. Also try not to drive at night and turn your cd/radio off if you you want to prolong the inevitable..lol

    I miss my old DA9 :0(
    I had the same problem, lucky for me I had a spare lying round to swap it with, try any auto elec (sparcky) would be more than able to do this for ya and for a good price too!

    yhea its an ass fuel canister has to come out and aid of zip ties help! jus a tip for ya.

    i just dropped the passenger side axle to change my alternator.. actually a lot quicker than it sounds
