Civic engine conversion

ok im sure there have been like 1 million threads on this but i did a search and ciould not find it, so im just going to ask

i have a 96 vti EK1, and i want to know besides the engine what else would i need to put a B16 motor into it, is this the only way of my civic getting the TOC VTEC or is there something else i can do, its just that i might be able to pick up the engine cheap? thanks for youe help guys.

To do the swap you need a full swap... motor, tranny, ecu, wire harness, mounts, axles, and I am sure there is more or you might not need all this. Just an idea.

we call it DOHC

double over head cam, I guess honda call it that as well, since they stamp it on there cars..


if you get an engine and gear box, then you will have some wiring to do, if your car has the one peice loom, other than that, there isnt much more to do than what was mentioned above.
