If you're on a budget then take a look at the Pioneer 306C (or 305, this one's the older model but pumps just as hard). From what i've read these are great value subs considering how much they cost and how hard they can go, what's more important is to get a proper sub box made to the subs specs and not a prefab one.
yup i got a 306c and its not bad.. for the price..
i put 300rms into it
well i took the option of jus getting a prefab one...
"since we're both asian.. I'll look after you and chuck in King Springs with the wheels and tyres for $1050"
i reckonz one for a hatch is more then enough....i had one and didnt like the overall sound so got myself 7x10 kenwoods...to me its makes a perfect sound stage....buh if ur into the doof doof stuff then yerr get a single sub..
im running two mtx 12inch subs in my civic takes up my whole boot, ive mounted my amps to the top of the sub box. and it bangssss heads oh and draws current like no tomorrow
im using 2 x 12" comp (kickers) running a 400rms monoblock...shakes my whole car...cant
tell what lane cars are in behind me because the bass shakes my mirrors
what do you want? to be loud or sound good? i went for the loud option and went two type s subs and two v12 mono blocks(in a 99 hatch). they get fed 350wrms each. iv entered jambo and autosalon for the db comp and got a second and a fourth(143.9db). entered the sq comp at jambo and also got a third. then do you want the subs to be in ported or sealed boxes. iv gone through four or fives different boxes. sealed, ported made of wood and fibreglass.
budget..umm im asking for it for my birthday LOL. im getting like a whole sound system package. im going with either Alpine or DLS. hrmmss now for DLS or Alpine??
