Thread: Weird Noise

  1. #1
recently theres been a weird noise comming from our 99 accord... seems to be the left front/rear wheel... when braking, a screeching tingly noise which hasn't been there before... nothing visibly wrong... any ideas?

first thing to check is brake pads. They screech when they need to be changed

if there is i cant rememebr it, its just a case of looking at them to see if they have much of the pad left and replace as necessary. The number of km will of course depend heavily on how its driven

My mums Euro was making the same noise, all that was needed was a new brake pad.

How many kms has your mum's euro travelled? it needs a new brake pad already??? She must be a hard (not heart) breaker

umm..usually its the indicator making that real loud noise...sounds like a rock or something in between the disc and pads

best thing is to take off ya wheel, and take off the pads to see if the indicator pin is making contact with the disc.

if this is the case, change ur pads asap and try not to break hard...discs won't be affected atm...but depends how long the noise has been there...
