    type-r long drive

    im going to adelaide this easter and im bringing my dc2r, how will they cope in long drives? its an 8 hours drive to adelaide,

    Just make sure that all your fluids are up before you leave

    Things like radiator, clutch, gearbox, and engine fluid are all good to go.

    Nothing worse than having your car overheat or your gearbox getting sticky (alot of extra effort)

    Yes, bring cushions as the seats were not really designed to be sat on for a very long time and can be quite uncomfortable after a while as you cant move around in them.

    I drove my DC2 VTIR from Newcastle to Brisbane with two quick fuel and piss stops. took me about 9hrs, car went great the whole way...

    I bought my vtir from Melbourne and drove 8-9 hrs to Adelaide, road quality is quite good all the way, just like any other car, look after it and it'll look after you. You may want ear plugs though.

    definately do the mandatory checks for fludis and all that... ear plugs or a few good cd's (OR TAPES if its standard), water...

    my legs fall asleep after a while in my car

    ours gets a longish drive a couple of times a month. never missed a beat. although has a few stone chips on the front bar because of it.
