The Trust Oil cooler kit uses Z386's so the Z79(Ryco version of Honda filter) or even a Honda OEM filter will not work on the Trust Oil Cooler Kit.

The Ryco Filter is OK but it might be worth getting a genuine Z386 style filter

No, Honda do not make a Z386 equivalent. Z386 was only ever designed to be fitted to a Toyota.

You will need the Z386 to be a non genuine Honda item or remove the oil cooler kit.

The Z386 filter kit keeps oil pressure higher due to the psi drop across the oil cooler core and thru the oil lines. That is why Trust use that filter...

Yeh, what he said!. Please explain ECU-MAN whats so bad about them.

For the same price i would buy the Honda one too, but its a hassle to go to a Honda dealer to buy, when i can just go to my local Supercheap or Repco and pick up a Ryco.

Nothing worng with Ryco, they are manufactured to the same quality as OEM or Ryco will pay for any damage caused IF the filter is fitted by a qualified mechanic.

Honda OEM therefore, is probably better quality if you are taking the risk of servicing the vehicle yourself.
