    Euro Comptech Icebox

    Hi guys,

I've decided to add a comptech icebox to my Euro but I've got a few questions.

    1. I'm in Sydney. Where's the best place to locate one? How much does it cost?

    2. Is it difficult to install? Would it be better to get someone to install it?

    3. I know the product comes with a filter. Is it easy to remove for cleaning?

I appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance!

You have to remove the front bumper..so if you don't know how maybe ask you honda dealer...... and yes is easy to clean.

its not that hard to remove if you've got all the right tools.
took me around 2 hours to install the Injen CAI which should be similar to installing the icebox.

You don't have to remove the front bumper to do the install ....

Takes about an hour all up to do

In all honesty, yfin has seen me do his IceBox without removing the bumper and I've done the same to my K&N Typhoon CAI, yes it's a pain in the arse but beats wasting more time removing the bumper ....

Sodaz... I think one of our traders supplies CompTech Iceboxes... search in the trader section

Nick got that resonator bolt off in like 2 minutes without removing the bumper. It took us more time to find the right tool (at a friend of Nick's) than get the bolt. I can't remember the tool size but unless you have the right size it is a pain in the ass.

As much as I support the traders here - that guy Peekay pointed to on ebay is by far the cheapest by a long way even with shipping costs. Shop around by all means - but I have been there and done that and Acura of Escondido is the cheapest and also reliable.

ps order the Comptech filter cleaning kit from them too - you will not pay any extra shipping and it is only $9.50US

Does it matter that these are selling to a L/H/D market? do comptech make a l/h and r/h drive version?

The last thing you'd want is a useless part for our aus deliverd cars...

engine layout is the same between the AUDM cl9 and USDM cl9 TSX so the comptech icebox would fit.
